I was 20 and in John Mackay’s band Mahogany when Marty Wilde recruited us as his backing band The Wildcats. We learnt a lot from him and did live BBC TV and radio broadcasts, rock and roll festivals, two shows a night in nightclubs and working men’s clubs, and recorded an album. Two versions were released on Philips: Bring Back Rock 'n' Roll (with audience) and Good Rockin’ Then & Now (without audience and without tracks marked *)
